I felt when I saw “Surviving James Dean” on the shelf, and I had access to it, you might just remember. James Dean was my teenage idol, although I’m not fascinated him so. My cousin, however, she married her first husband, he saw, walking, and works just like James Dean. Representative when he died, our whole generation of people mourning.

I can not say how much of what I read in these pages may be true. It is always easy to say anything for or against any person after his death, which was not there to tell the truth and defend himself against lies, if there is a lie.

This book, however, is a memoir of William Bast, and reflects his life and his lifestyle, and how he sees his partner, ex-boyfriend. I do not think this book with James Dean to be the truth, because it is a biography of the target, but closer to the truth of William Peel obsession with the actor. Read the rest of this entry »
